Biography

Flutist Elizabeth Aceto currently resides in Pennsylvania where she owns a music studio "Studio 1 Music". Being trained in Chicago, Ms. Aceto brings various techniques, culture, and unique perspectives into the music world. She believes in the power of music and how it can heal an individual as well as a community. She is a firm believer that no one should be denied the experience of being a musician. 

 

Ms. Aceto is an accomplished musician and vocalist, having performed across the world from New York City to London and Paris. She has dedicated her time as an active chamber musician, performing with wind and string quintets throughout her time at North Park University. Ms. Aceto was seated principle flute for four years in the North Park University Orchestra and 4 years as piccolo chair in University Concert Band. Ms. Aceto is a soloist, chamber musician, and music teacher who wants nothing more than to help young musicians reach their utmost potential. 

 

Ms. Aceto studied under Miyazawa artist Ellen Huntington and Powell artist Patricia George. She also studied voice with respected vocalist, Annie Picard. 

 

Elizabeth Aceto has served as a festival adjudicator from 2011-2016 for the Wisconsin School Music Association, as well as teaching formal lessons since 2006. She has also dedicated time as a volunteer teacher with the National Alliance of El Sistema REACH and YOURS projects: music for social change, programs that are rooted in Chicago. 

 

Ms. Aceto has performed on a concert tour of Europe with the Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music, selected for WSMA state honors, and has been pictured in Flute Talk magazine on a number of occasions. Further accomplishments include the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award and the National Choral Award. Elizabeth has performance experience in Jazz Ensembles and Jazz Combos on upright and electric bass, and has performed leading roles in Godspell and Happy Days the musical. Ms. Aceto was a member of the Lawrence Conservatory of Music for six years, Eastern Valley Honors for seven years, St. Norbert College Honors, and the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra (2015).
